NETFLIX x boat
The Netflix team for 'The Archies' was partnering up with a bunch of brands for the film launch, in a true Barbie-esque fashion.
We came on board to help create the packaging design and visual language for the premium, limited-edition 60s-inspired speaker they were launching with boAt.
Our design explorations began with researching around the retro vibes of the 60’s - 70’s era, using motifs, different colour palettes in the initial renditions. We used patterns, illustration styles and textures yet somehow it didn’t quite capture the ‘Archies’ universe.
And then it struck us - why not create the packaging in the Archies universe itself? Think barbershop poles, checkered floors, starbursts, borders, and arches along with the personalised cues from the film.
